Description
this two-story, stone and wood joglo includes two superior rooms on the lower level. Built into the hill side next to Eagle’s Ocean View, the joglo roof is topped with a gunungan, which is a shadow puppet symbol of a sacred mountain, where the seen unseen worlds meet. The gunungan also symbolizes the passage of time. When we first came to this wonderful place, on top of a high cliff, in the middle of the jungle, one of us lay down in the leaves and fell fast asleep! We felt we were in a sacred place and had entered sacred time. Time stood still, as we rested in the present.
